As a part of the project’s outreach activities, the MOCCA project hosted a two-day MSCA Ambassador event at Lund University from December 6 to 7, 2024, welcoming 19 high-school students and four teachers from the Academic Lyceum under the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and the "Ambassador" private school in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Students and teachers arrived in Lund on December 6 and were warmly welcomed at the Lund University Guest House. After checking in, students and teachers went on a guided tour of the university campus. Students learned more about Lund University’s rich history and how cutting-edge research is conducted.
Following the campus tour, Rustamjon Urinboyev, Principal Investigator of the MOCCA project, delivered a presentation on the EU Staff Exchanges program, specifically about the MOCCA project’s goals and achievements, explaining how corruption-related studies are conducted through secondments. The first day of the event concluded with a communal dinner, offering a good opportunity to interact with university representatives.
On the second day, students started their day with breakfast at the LU Guest House, which was followed by another session dedicated to the MOCCA project. They learned more about the project objectives, milestones and its broader impact of its initiatives. The second day finished with lively exchange of ideas, engaging students and project representatives.
The MSCA Ambassador event demonstrated the MOCCA project’s dedication to engaging young talent and fostering international collaboration through education and research. This event provided high school students with a unique opportunity to experience life at a leading European university while encouraging them to pursue their academic aspirations.
